Whew! So much stuff to catch up on. I writing this from an Internet station at the Bowen Island library. At my parents' house, the high speed access was knocked out because the cable got covered in ice and snow and actually snapped from the weight. Means all my "auxiliary" sites are knocked out as well, since the server isn't connected to the 'net right now.
Of course, the many power outages that Bowen has been having intermittently hasn't helped the uptime any, either. So, if you've been waiting for an email response from me, they might be a little slower than usual in coming. I hope to be back up next week at the latest.
I got some feedback mentioning that I'm a "Googlewack":
Congratulations you are the only site on google to use the words "heathen" and "randomisation" on the same site. well done. have a nice life
I didn't get to watch the Macworld keynote with Steve Jobs, but I did manage to catch the news: iBox is still a myth, but there is a "mini-iPod". Still seems to be targetting high-end, they just made it a lot smaller. The price is $249US for 4GB, vs. $299US for the low-end 15GB model. Hmmm...guess it just means saving up for the "big" iPod. Although, I suppose a lower entry price means that it can move downwards.
That's all I have time for today. Going over to Jamie's cabin on the weekend, since Forbidden Plateau is completely snowed in and iced over. Kate arrives Monday, plus some more meetings to ferret out some "potentials".
Weather looks like it is sort of going back to normal -- that is, between 3 and 10 degrees C and rainy. Heard that Ottawa is going into a major cold snap, almost -40. Now I'm glad I'm on the coast, even if no one here can deal with more than a cm or two of snow :p

safe journey,
Kate.
