On other complaining fronts...

I recently posted a rather verbose verbosity of verbage to your "How to build a flaky 'El Cheapo Computer'" post and have yet to see added to the page. (Yes, I was a little harsh in your choice of mainboards).

Is my highly important piece of drek waiting for approval in a long forgotten queue or is it just the result of draconian editorial privilege?

Seeing as I can post here to my hearts content and still get general distribution, I will.

There are bunches of ASUS boards avail

btw, I am biased towards ASUS....

An ASUS board using the NForce2 chipset. has 2 LAN ports, 6 USB, firewire and a smorgesboard of other carp.

Expensive

Every single one of the AMD-based ASUS boards is over $200. Unless someone can explain specifically why one should pay more for the boards, I wouldn't pick them for this application.

I could have included one or two as the "best" choice, which is in the same price range.

Don't need 2 LAN ports (no sane person runs their Windows machine as an Internet-sharing/routing device), FireWire will be on the video card if it's needed.

Hrmm....

Comments get posted immediately...don't know what happened. I checked around, but whatever you wrote seems to be gone. I will do a test comment.

Just in rebuttal, before I even see your harshness, I selected from AMD boards available at my local store...follow that link and pick me a better one!
