Randomness

Never know what you are going to be interested in. That's how it all started didn't it?

random incoming

are the ones I'd drag into the Trash.
There's got to be some rationale behind it, not 100% random.

Sure

You say that now, but it's the what-ifs that get you. What if it was someone really interesting? What if it was someone that lived or worked down the street from you?

Of course, the other person might not see the same "interest" in your profile, but there would be times when these random meetings would be great, and there is no way they would happen, otherwise.

in a social context,

I'd entertain randomness, but rarely would I do so in business.
If it's triggered by something in my profile or theirs, then it's no longer random but rule-driven.
