New IM Client on OS X

Kevin asked about the new IM client I'm using. It's Adium, which I found out about from some recent postings of good Mac OS X apps.

Lots of great features, including syncing buddy icons with your address book, tabbed chat windows, and it auto-hids its windows when you are not actively chatting.

Only difficulty I've had is that I can't seem to get my ICQ account working. Evan and Lloyd being two long-time users of that system that I still like to chat with :p

Thank you... very nice indeed

ICQ works fine for me.

I like the sound effects , and being able to change the order of the conversation tabs.

The only things that I have not found:
* stack IDs of the same person
* delete entries and conversations from conversation history ( Adium calls them log ) -- I am not even sure where Adium's log are

Stack IDs has been the highes

Stack IDs has been the highest feature request.

The logs are pretty slick in Adium. Under Window, select Log Viewer (or Command-L). It has a filtered search like Mail.app

I did get ICQ working now...I think I had been typing in the wrong password, and there was no obvious error. The new version, 0.52, clearly indicates wrong passwords, so I was able to get it set properly.
