I'm relaxing on Bowen for a couple of days and thinking about some fun little projects that I might be able to do. One idea I had was to get a list of in season produce for the Vancouver area, and then combine that list with pictures from Flickr and recipes to make a cool calendar. I wrote up what I found so far on my FoodLikeThat blog.
My funny joke is that meat, of course, is ALWAYS in season :P
Oh, and yes, I have been doing a ton of Christmas cooking, so I posted a partial list of what's been cooked so far.
Zak decided to bless some local Vancouver-ites with his cooking skills. Unfortunately, he ran out of butter chicken, but apparently we're going to get some pulled pork instead.
(yes, I'm posting this purely to bookmark the recipe)
Kate and I went for dinner at the Sha Lin Noodle House (Broadway close to Cambie). We went last time way back in February when Kate had just arrived in Vancouver, with Mary and Evan.
This is my first post of personal content back on this site. I'm really enjoying my new camera -- with a 10x optical zoom! I got jealous of Dave's 8x optical...
I didn't need it for this picture -- I made potatoes for breakfast, since Matt is visiting (he's competing in the Canadian Ultimate Championships, which are being held at UBC).
